It seems as though there are two types of knobs used on these radios that look the same but have different dimensions for the hole. One type has a hole that is fluted. The other type has a fluted hole and also has a divider in the hole for a split shaft. The two types of knobs are not interchangeable.
models: 4K310 (battery set), 5D610?, 5R303, 5R312, 5R312W, 5R312Y, 5R316, 5R317, 5R337 use the knob without a divider in the hole.
These models use a knob with a divider in the hole. models: 5S319, 5S320 5S327, 5S338, 5S338B, 5S338H, 5S339M, 5S319, 5S319
Dimensions: base is near 1", 3/4" tall, 1/4" hole. Fits onto a split shaft.
